West Bengal 8th Pay Commission Pension Calculator 2026

The West Bengal 8th Pay Commission Pension Calculator 2026 is an online estimation tool designed for pensioners who want to understand how a future revision in pension could affect their monthly pension. Users can enter their current basic pension and an expected fitment factor to calculate a hypothetical revised basic pension.

This calculator is designed specifically as an estimated projection. It does not represent an officially notified 8th Pay Commission pension formula for West Bengal.

Important Update for West Bengal Pensioners

The West Bengal Government constituted the 7th Pay Commission in July 2026. The Finance Department issued Resolution No. 2657-F(P1) dated 22 July 2026 and subsequently issued a partial modification through Resolution No. 2760-F(P1) dated 29 July 2026.

Therefore, an 8th Pay Commission fitment factor should not be treated as an official West Bengal Government figure unless and until the competent authority officially announces it.

How Does This Calculator Work?

The calculator uses a simple projection formula:

Estimated Revised Basic Pension = Current Basic Pension × Expected Fitment Factor

For example, if the current basic pension is ₹30,000 and a user enters an assumed fitment factor of 2.57, the estimated revised basic pension would be ₹77,100.

This ₹77,100 figure is only a mathematical projection based on the user’s selected factor. It should not be interpreted as an announced West Bengal Government pension amount.

How to Use the West Bengal Pension Calculator

  1. Enter your current basic pension.
  2. Enter your expected fitment factor.
  3. Enter the DR percentage you want to use for the projection.
  4. Click the Calculate Pension button.
  5. The calculator will show estimated revised basic pension.
  6. It will also calculate the estimated DR amount and total.

Example Calculation

Suppose a pensioner currently receives a basic pension of ₹30,000.

If the pensioner selects an assumed fitment factor of 2.57:

₹30,000 × 2.57 = ₹77,100

The estimated revised basic pension would therefore be ₹77,100 under this hypothetical assumption.

Is 2.57 the Official 8th Pay Commission Fitment Factor?

No. This calculator does not claim that 2.57 is an official 8th Pay Commission fitment factor for West Bengal. The factor is simply an example that users can enter themselves.

What Is Basic Pension?

Basic pension is the pension amount before separately applicable components such as Dearness Relief and other eligible benefits. Pension revision can depend on the applicable pay-revision rules, pension orders, service records and Government notifications.

What Is Dearness Relief?

Dearness Relief, commonly called DR, is a separate pension-related component that may be revised by Government orders. This calculator allows users to enter a DR percentage for an estimated calculation.

West Bengal Pension Revision

West Bengal’s official pension administration includes the Directorate of Pension, Provident Fund & Group Insurance. Official records include pension revision orders and pension-related documents for different categories of State and aided-organisation pensioners.

Existing West Bengal pension-revision documents show fields such as revised basic pension, family pension, qualifying service and commutation. Actual pension determination therefore depends on the applicable category and official records.

Will the Actual Pension Match This Calculator?

Not necessarily. The actual revised pension will depend on the Government notification and formula that ultimately applies. The actual calculation may also depend on the pensioner’s category, existing pension, pension revision order, qualifying service, commutation and other applicable provisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official West Bengal Government calculator?

No. It is an independent estimation tool.

Has West Bengal announced an official 8th Pay Commission pension formula?

This calculator does not assume such an announcement. The official West Bengal Finance Department records currently identify the commission constituted in July 2026 as the 7th Pay Commission.

Can I change the fitment factor?

Yes. The calculator deliberately allows the user to enter an assumed factor instead of presenting an unofficial factor as Government policy.

Does this calculator include DR?

Yes. Users can enter a DR percentage and see an estimated DR amount.

Does it calculate family pension?

No. Family pension can involve different rules and should be calculated separately.
